Kanchanaburi at Hin Tok River Camp (2dyas)

Applicable for : A group of minimum 2 persons.
Itinerary : A two­day package to see some of the highlights of this historically famous and scenically beautiful province. See the Bridge over the River Kwai‚ ride the Death Railway‚ visit a Mon village and take an excursion to Hell Fire Pass. An overnight at the luxury Tented Camp amidst the peaceful surroundings of the River Kwai and its jungle will be a memorable experience for you.

Day 1 - Bangkok to Kanchanaburi     (-/ L/D)

Pick up from major hotels in Bangkok Downtown Area. Depart for Kanchanaburi.

Arrive Kanchanaburi at around 09.00 and then visit the War Museum (Thailand-Burma Railway Centre), War Cemetery and Bridge over the River Kwai.

Arrive at Hin Tok River Camp and check-in, after which lunch will be served.

In the afternoon visit the Hell Fire Pass Memorial and enjoy a walking tour along the trail of the Death Railway from Hell Fire Pass to Hin Tok Station. Then continue back to the camp. In the late afternoon set off on mountain bikes to visit a village nearby the camp and there see the art of basket weaving.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Back to Bangkok   (B/L/-)

Early morning walking or biking to the temple to make merit by giving food to the monks on their morning alms round. Check-out at around 09.00hrs and then take a long-tailed boat from the pier to get to the River Kwai Jungle Rafts, passing by unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery. Visit the nearby ethnic Mon village with an optional tour to go elephant riding through the bamboo forest.

Depart for lunch at a local restaurant and then take a historic ride on Death Railway, passing by lush forest. After the train ride continue by air-conditioned vehicle to Bangkok. Arrive Bangkok and transfer to hotel.
