Day 1, Arrive in Hanoi (-/-/-)
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. Ease your day with a Water Puppet show, a unique traditional art of Vietnam.
Day 2, Hanoi (B/-/-)
Enjoy a guided city tour of the historical city of Hanoi.
Visit the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his former residence, the One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature (the first university in Vietnam built in the 11th century). After lunch visit the Historical Museum, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple. End your day with shopping in the Old Quarter.
Day 3, Hanoi to Halong Bay (B/-/-)
Travel by road to famous Halong bay, located 180 kms northeast of Hanoi. Cruise around the bay, passing by Dog Island, Incense Burner Island, Fighting Cock Island and many more. Visit Sung Sot Cave and take a dip in the warm waters at Titop Beach. Enjoy a sunset dinner and spend the night on board relaxing, drinking or fishing.
Day 4, Halong Bay to Hanoi (B/-/-)
Cruise toward islets of Man’s Head and Tortoise and then visit Luon Cave by a traditional bamboo rowing boat. Continue cruising to Bai Tu Long Bay and then head back to Halong pier for the transfer back to Hanoi and spend your afternoon at leisure.
Day 5, Hanoi to Hue (B/-/-)
Have a relaxing morning before your flight to Hue. Upon arrival your guide will take you to your hotel. After lunch visit the Citadel, Vietnam’s former imperial capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a boat ride on the Perfume River to see Thien Mu Pagoda and Minh Mang Tomb.
Day 6, Hue city tour (B/-/-)
A day to discover the beautiful city of Hue. In the morning visit Khai Dinh and Tu Duc Imperial Tombs and the colourful Dong Ba Market. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 7, Hue to Danang to Hoi An (B/-/-)
Today take the scenic 4-hour drive to Danang via Hai Van Pass, enjoying spectacular views of mountains, sea, idyllic beaches and villages. Upon arrival, your guide will take you for a walk through the Old Quarter visiting the town’s famous landmarks of the Japanese Covered Bridge, Ancient Assembly Hall and Phuc Kien Temple. Then take a river trip and enjoy the scenery along the Thu Bon River and the panorama of Hoi An Ancient Town. Visit Cam Kim mattress-making village, the carpentry village of Kim Bong and Dai Chiem Estuary. Hoi An is also famous for its wide choice of tailor shops, so don't miss your chance to have your clothes made to measure.
Day 8, Hoi An to My Son (B/-/-)
In the morning visit the Marble Carving village, famous China Beach and Cham Museum. Then travel by road to My Son, the imperial city of the Champa Empire (4-12th century). See My Son Sanctuary, a large complex of religious ruins comprising more than 70 architectural remains.
Transfer back to Hoi An.
Day 9, Hoi An to Qui Nhon (B/-/-)
Continue down the coast road to arrive at Sa Hung Beach by lunchtime. After lunch take a bicycle ride to visit a Cham tower and then continue to Qui Nhon and check in to hotel.
Day 10, Qui Nhon to Nha Trang (B/-/-)
Spoil yourself with a morning’s at leisure on the beach. Then your guide will take you to visit the ‘Banh It’ Cham tower and then head down the coast to Nha Trang. Upon arrival take a short city tour to visit the Cham Por Nagar Tower, Oceanique Institute and Hon Chong Promotory.
Day 11, Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City (B/-/-)
At leisure until transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon take a half day city tour to visit the Reunification Palace and the War Museum.
Day 12, Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre To Vinh Long (B/-/-)
Travel by road to Tien Giang province and take a boat ride along Tien River. Stop en-route to visit fish farms and floating fish market and then at Phoenix Islet to see how locals make coconut rice paper cake and souvenir handicrafts from coconut trunks and shells. Upon arrival at Tan Thanh, take a horse-cart ride to An Khanh village and sample banana and coconut cakes. After lunch, take a boat ride back to Tortoise Islet and visit the traditional Nam Bo house (Southern house), enjoy seasonal fruits and listen to traditional music. Go back to My Tho city by boat and transfer to Vinh Long. Upon arrival, a motorboat will bring you to your home stay with a host family. Enjoy a cooking class with many recipes for Vietnamese cuisine. After a short study of the Vietnamese language with the host family, walk around the village to see and catch fire-flies before retiring in your Mekong rural house.
Day 13, Vinh Long to Ho Chi Minh City (B/-/-)
Rise early and visit the floating market by boat to see how people live and trade and perhaps taste some Vietnamese fruits. Hop on your bike and cycle along small village roads shaded by bamboo, banana, rambutan, pomelo and mangosteen trees. Learn about the cycle of rice cultivation and visit a local pagoda. After this relaxing morning, take a boat ride back to the home-stay to pack up and say good bye to the host family before travelling back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Free time after check in.
Day 14, Ho Chi Minh City to Airport
At leisure until transfer to the airport for your own flight to your next destination.
