Our speciality is “off-the-beaten-track” arrangements: soft adventure, activity holidays and any special interest packages. In 1982, long before the world had heard of eco-tourism we operated our first ornithological tours in Thailand’s national parks and with the knowledge gained from organising such specialised itineraries we have built a range of products that can cater to almost any special interest. Whether it is trekking in remote regions, rafting or scuba diving; bird watching, an agricultural study tour or a spa & meditation course, we can do it.

Our Philosophy
With our long experience in the field of “off-the-beaten-track” arrangements we are very much aware of the need to protect the natural environment and the cultural integrity of the local community. These are the reasons tourists want to visit a specific place, destroy them and you destroy the reason to go there. Preserve them and will have sustained demand and a destination with a long-term future.

For example on treks or any other arrangements in the forest all biodegradable refuse will either be burnt or buried while non-biodegradable refuse will be carried by the party and disposed of properly in town. Our group sizes are small and we try to vary routes to minimize their impact.

Safety
With our roots in student and youth travel we also have long experience in arranging group tours for young people. We know their special requirements and how to balance the need for good supervision with the wish for enough freedom to enjoy themselves and to learn. Young people need to be protected from danger and sometimes from their own exuberance but they should not be so confined as to cut them off from the outside world.

In addition, whatever activities may be involved in a package our expert trained guides will give proper instruction before commencing and ensure good supervision throughout. Life-jackets, protective head-gear, etc will be provided according to the nature of the activity.

In the unlikely event of a mishap all clients travelling with ETC are automatically insured up to maximum of Bht.200,000.00 per person, depending on the activities involved.
